In Spatial (Re)Awareness, space itself becomes the subject of investigation, intervention and imagination.

The exhibition starts from the spatiality of the gallery, but does not limit itself to that. The participating artists are brought together because they - each in their own way - question, expand or rethink the experience of space.

The exhibition starts from the spatiality of the gallery, but does not limit itself to that. The participating artists are brought together because they - each in their own way - question, expand or rethink the experience of space.

Some do so literally, by making us aware of the physical boundaries and walls of artist run space. Others plan an intervention on paper, as a mental or potential action. Still others draw outdoor space in or make the work transcend the boundaries of the exhibition space by making light/volume visible from the street.

What does it mean to read, build or temporarily appropriate space? How do context, perspective and intervention influence our perception of it?

Spatial (Re)Awareness invites visitors to become attentive again to space - both as something we inhabit, and as something that shapes us.
